Corrections Policy
Last Updated: June 2026
Bangladesh HR Defender is committed to accuracy, fairness, transparency, and accountability in its public-interest publications. If an error is identified in published content, we will review the matter carefully and make appropriate corrections when necessary.
Our Commitment
We seek to correct significant factual errors, misleading statements, inaccurate references, or outdated information that may affect the fairness, reliability, or public understanding of a published article.
Types of Corrections
- Minor Edits: Spelling, grammar, formatting, or typographical changes that do not alter the meaning of the content.
- Clarifications: Additional context added to improve understanding or prevent misinterpretation.
- Corrections: Substantive factual corrections where published information was inaccurate or incomplete.
- Updates: New information added when an issue has developed after publication.
Correction Process
- A correction request may be submitted by readers, affected persons, researchers, institutions, or other interested parties.
- The request should clearly identify the article, the disputed information, and the supporting evidence.
- We will review the claim in good faith and assess available evidence.
- If a correction is justified, the content will be corrected, clarified, or updated as appropriate.
Correction Notice
For significant corrections, we may add a note within or below the article explaining the nature of the correction. Minor spelling or formatting edits may be made without a public correction note.
Retractions
In rare cases, content may be removed or retracted if it is found to contain serious inaccuracies, legal concerns, duplicated material, or information that no longer meets our editorial standards.
