Why does South Asia need a new vision?

South Asia needs a new vision due to recurring conflicts, climate and water insecurity, shrinking civic space, and rising geopolitical pressure. Without regional cooperation, crises in India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan reinforce instability rather than resilience.

What does reunification mean in the South Asian context?

Reunification does not mean a single state or government. It means shared peace mechanisms, water and climate cooperation, education alignment, economic interdependence, and protection of human dignity across borders.

How does climate change affect South Asia’s stability?

Climate change acts as a security threat multiplier in South Asia by intensifying floods, droughts, water disputes, displacement, and social unrest, particularly across shared river systems like the Indus and Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna.

What role does education play in regional peace?

Education helps build long-term peace by promoting honest history, civic ethics, media literacy, climate awareness, and future-ready skills. A shared regional education framework can reduce inherited hostility and misinformation.

Is South Asian regional cooperation realistic?

Yes. Regional cooperation is realistic when it is phased, voluntary, institution-based, and focused on shared survival needs such as peace, climate security, and economic resilience rather than political domination.
